Update on our Flexible Cancellation Policy:
By choosing Avis, you enjoy flexibility and safety for your travels.
A lot of things can happen between your booking and the start of your trip. Whether it is a Covid-19 development or another unpredictable incident, with our flexible cancellation policy you can plan your next trip stress-free.

Can I cancel my existing booking for free?
Of course you can, our flexible cancellation policy breaks down like this:
- Free cancellation/full refunds on Pay Online (prepay) bookings up to 48 hours before the day your rental was due to begin
- You can cancel Pay on Collection (pay later) bookings up to the time your rental was due to begin
- If you have to cancel less than 48 hours before the day of your rental, you'll receive a full refund minus the lower of i) 1 day of your booking or ii) fixed fee depending on the country you booked in (£60, €65, CHF76)
- No refund is provided in the case of no-shows and a fee may apply.

For any customers who have booked their rental vehicle through a third-party broker, please contact that broker directly for further guidance should your travel be disrupted.
